Task One: Peer/Self-Assessment

Peer assessment
Conclusion of feedback and how to improve my skills further
From this peer assessment, I can conclude that my performance was strong and consistent throughout the whole performance. It is clear that my peer can note that my technique was also very accurate and consistent, the same with my characterization and use of expressions. From this and comments from other peers, I can confidently say my facial expressions and projection of character has greatly improved from our first rehearsals of this show. I now need to develop them further to match every genre. I felt I excelled in the sassy and dramatic dances; however, I need to work on my facial expressions in emotional and melonic songs such as 'Heart of Stone'. I need to be able to dance and show the emotion and sadness that the song is portraying to make sure I am consistently projecting the meaning of the song. I will do this by practicing future dances in front of a mirror and focusing on my facial expressions and not so much the movement so that I can see how I am portraying character and communicating the choreographer's intent through my expressions and faces.
